Lane's power would definitely be INSTANT ANKLE BREAKER! What did you think I was going to say, SUPER SPEED, or something? No. That would be way to basic. Frost is able to break anyone's ankles at anytime with this super power. There is a cool down of 10 minutes on the usage which makes it hard to determine when to use it. There are multiple other rules to using the super power that are too long to explain. One of them is the fact that it can be used twice during one play. This makes it a 20 minute cool down if used twice and 10 minutes if used once. So you must using it wisely. Frost is known for his ankle breaking techniques already, but this would take it to the next level. Frost and Minnesota have a deep personal bond and hopefully they can make it to the Ultimini again this season with Frost's help.
Well, you brought this on yourselves with with the D&D reference in Roll 20.
There are many powerful spells in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, the vast majority of which are significantly more powerful than the lowly 2nd level Misty Step. However, what Misty Step lacks in strength, it more than makes up for in versatility. Locked up with a particularly tenacious offensive lineman? Misty Step poofs you out of a grapple with ease. Getting outrun by the speedy RB or surprisingly slippery running QB? Misty Step closes the distance, and can even put you in front of your target to cut them off. Best of all, Misty Step only requires a bonus action. That's right, you can Misty Step and then still grapple your target or knock them prone in the same turn! Most other teleport or speed spells require your action, which means they take long enough to cast that you wouldn't be able to tackle that same turn. What use is teleporting around the field or blazing a trail across it if you can't tackle the ballcarrier? For a defensive lineman, the simple versatility and effectiveness of the Misty Step spell is tough to beat.
What superpower would Waluigi Gronkowski have?
A lot of superpowers are probably stupid OP and no doubt lead to dumb scores like infinity to zero, so let's think of a way to add more nuance. To be tuned correctly, Waluigi’s power would need to be very powerful when far behind, and only a slight advantage when ahead. For example, if we are winning, then maybe he gains a short burst of speed, whereas if he’s behind his power could be stronger, perhaps a more sustained speed boost along with collision prevention. Other examples might be stealing your opponents' powerups or the ability to knock out the opposing team's best performing player if we're way behind. The powerups couldnt always be on though, there’d have to be a bit of randomness, so maybe when Waluigi crosses the line of scrimmage he picks up a mystery box with a question mark to designate that we don’t know what the powerup will be. Then your opponent cries when you blast him with a blue shell and finish in first place, uhh I mean score the game winning touchdown.
Goat Tank doesn't really need any super powers to be honest, because being a Goat Tank is a super power in and of itself. However, if I was really going to choose a spell/super power it would be the mage blink spell - or the same super power that Nightcrawler of the X-men basically has. Goat Tank could just blink in and out of existence and easily escape tackles all day long. Every time he touched the football would be an easy touchdown so it would be pretty much unfair. He could do it though in a way that was very subtle so no one really knew he was doing it and would just be taken as one of the best athletes to every live.
The thing is though is that Goat Tank doesn't need that. He's already a legend of his own and working on his 3rd straight offensive performance of the year award that would really be 4 in a row if it wasn't for the real super villain of them all - a last week re-sim in the league. Code: 183 words
While Able Archer doesn't really need any superpower mumbo jumbo hoopla nonsense, as his talent is still able to make him produce results on the field, he could still benefit from any other additional advantage presented to him. That being said, teleportation would be the best answer possible. Think about it; you are an offensive lineman that is sitting across your assignment, a dude that is the same size as you, itching to murder your quarterback. The ball is snapped, and the person you once saw in front of you is suddenly behind you, with the quarterback sprawled out on the ground. You get frustrated and confused as to how the heck you missed that, but it's whatever, people give up sacks all the time, no worries. Now imagine the same thing happening again, and again, and again, and you sit there completely dumbfounded as to how this random dude is obliterating your blocking and making plays. He doesn't know that you have just been teleporting 3 yards and tackling him, like a legend.
Super speed? Super strength? Invisibility?! C'mon guys you can literally pick any power you want and this is the contrived garbage you all are talking about? Bullshit, bullshit, derivative.....oh what power would I pick? You know I'm talking about MEAT VISION baybay!! You just had a tough workout at the gym but forgot your protein supplements or whatever? Boom, you got a burger ready to go, big boys gotta eat if you wanna stay fit. Coach calls a meeting in the middle of lunch? Is that even allowed? Don't deal with a risky sleeve hot dog! With meat vision you got meat right at your seat. Oh but what about on the field you say? Miss me with that because meat vision is gonna get the job done there too. Reciever runs right by you on a route? Meat vision that football right into a blob of raw beef and it's gonna slip right through his hands. And if he does catch it? Well guess what, you just got salmonella, fella. Heh.....yeah ok that last part went a bit too far. With great meat comes great responsibility.
