(Tier 2) - 7. This task is exclusive to non-recreate rookies of the S35 class and later. In 300 words or more, how has your experience been in the league? Who have you met that has made your time here more fun, friendly, and exciting? Have you been satisfied with your player’s early start? What was it like being drafted for the first time? Do you have any comments or suggestions for the entire league that you think should be implemented?
When I first joined the league I really didn't know what I was doing, being that this is my first sim league. It was very confusing at times, but I slowly learned how to earn TPE, money, as well as how to update my character. My first experience in the league was when I was asked a few questions by the KCC GM, and just like that I was off of waivers and on the Kansas City Coyotes. Everyone I have met so far has been friendly and very helpful. It has been very easy to do TPE tasks since my GM (firstfray) has always notified and given direction to the rookies on where to go for tasks, and I have never felt like I was lost on what to do because of that. It wasn't long after I was off of waivers that I got to play in my first game. It was exciting to be in the game with my new team, and we ended up winning, which was just the cherry on top. I saw that I had 4 pancakes in that game and that added to the fun. The next big thing was when one of the GMs of the team was kicked out for having multiple accounts. That absolutely screwed us over in the long run, but when it happened, it was honestly kind of amusing and definitely made my experience with the Coyotes more memorable. We played the last game of the regular season and ended up losing that, but we still made it into the playoffs. It was nice to make it in, but unfortunately we lost in the 1st round. I'm very grateful that the Coyotes took me in and welcomed me into the team when I was new and didn't know much about the league, I'll always remember that. Now, I am looking forward to the draft and beyond, excited to see where the future takes me, and what experiences lie ahead.
(Tier 3) - 25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why?
I honestly think that I would enjoy any position that I would pick, but if I couldn't pick my current position of Offensive Lineman then I would probably pick either kicker, linebacker, or maybe even some kind of offensive piece like a tight end. If I was a kicker I would aim to be an absolute sniper on special teams, and try to never miss a kick in the whole season. I would want to be reliable, knowing that my team could count on me to make a clutch kick I needed to. As for linebacker, I would do the exact opposite of what I do now. Instead of blocking against sacks, I would be a pass rusher trying to get the sack. I would enjoy racking up as many sacks as I could get, as well as putting pressure on the QB. If I did end up picking tight end I would want to be a reliable option for the QB to throw to, making all the important catches for getting a new set of downs or a clutch touchdown pass.
(Tier 3) - 27. What team do you think has the best branding in the league? What team do you think could use a refresh? Why?
After looking at all the team's logos, color schemes, and names, I have to say that the Honolulu Hahalua have the best branding in the league. It wasn't an easy choice because I think that many other teams have great branding that all could have arguments for the best branding, but I ended up with the Hahalua for a couple reasons. First, I really like their logo. It has a fierce looking sting ray swimming through a ring with a couple hibiscus flowers at the bottom. Simple but looks nice, and it has those features that tie in with the team's location. The colors are a nice ocean blue with a contrasting yellow. Also basic, but it attracts my eye, and just emits that Hawaiian look. As for the team that needs a refresh the most, it has to be the Portland Pythons. I do like the name, however the logo and color scheme need to be revised. The logo has a python wrapped around a football with a weird looking compass thing on the back of it. It just feels like they put that thing on the back to make it look more detailed but it doesn't look quite right to me. The Pythons' colors are a snake green with an underwhelming gray/silver color, and it simply doesn't pop out to me.
