Tell us about your draft class. Is there anything that makes it special in comparison to other classes? Where did your fellow draftees land, how are they doing? Did anyone turn out to be an unexpected steal of that draft based on what you know today? Do you think anyone in your draft class will become a hall of famer? If you’re new to the league, how do you think your class will do? Where do you think people will get drafted to?

Welcome to my write up of the S36 Rookie Class. I can tell you, as a pretty active Discord user, that our class in that media is pretty active. It’s been said that our class is a fairly large one, that not since the days of the S25(?) class has the league has this size. In terms of what makes us special is not just in size, but in dedication.
I believe without fact-checking myself, that user @XaveValor is currently the new Community Moderator for the ISFL. That’s pretty quick for a user to show both their dedication and desire to pick up that workload while I struggle to hit the word count on my media(heh). In terms of media as well, I know that @PurpleReign and @soevil are the go-to media fiends. Purp specifically in doing two podcasts in two consecutive weeks and SoEvil with the monster mock draft. These three I just cherry picked from a monster class of 120 who are also pursuing jobs in the league/drafting up long form media for the league. But there will be draft steals, for sure, that may pop up later in the season to show us what they can do.
Typing this now after the draft, I can cheat and tell you where each of my classmates end up. But I can expound more on the state of the draft class as a casual watcher. Our draft significantly has many TEs and defensive positional players. Our first round is a quick snapshot of our draft composition actually.
To break it down, we had:
3 Safeties
1 Cornerback
1 Defensive Tackle
2 Wide Receivers
1 Linebacker
Looking at this first round, you may say “where’s the TEs you just mentioned? This doesn’t seem that well-researched”. That’s fair, but the first TE off the board wouldn’t go until the second round with a great majority of TEs in the much later rounds. In total, we have 17 TEs in our rookie class. Safeties trail a little behind and we see a sizable amount of them get picked up in the first and second rounds. Our very-actives more or less were picked up in the early rounds with very few surprise late rounders.
If I had to highlight one late rounder(6 and onwards) that I think will make a substantial impact in the league and community, it would be @CJ_the_M16, Wide Receiver. When I say DRAFT STEAL, I do mean it in his case. This user is very active in the forums and a consistent participant, even being active TODAY. Rerry Jice should be a Hall of Famer. Book it.
In my draft class, I see a lot of future GMs and prominent War Roomers. Never have I seen rookies of the same class get introduced and then the next day start to help out new rookies in the same class. This also translates to other parts of the league like fantasy, which seems to have exploded in user participation thanks to the class. In my own fantasy group, there are 2 rookies out of six.
As a wide receiver, I like to see the burst in defensive talent in our class as it should test my skills as a player. But as we know, sim will sim. There are significant earners in our draft class and I know I’ll have to try to keep up with them in the future. Somehow, I’m already 60 TPE away from the top earners in my class and I think of myself as pretty active(maybe not really in media lol). As a competitor and as a new player, I’m excited to see fellow rookies get excited as me for the future.
Prepare for us, friends and enemies. We’re kind of a big deal.
600+ (sorry I didn’t catch the word count, but it should be 700ish-88)
