You know, normally I'm one to take advantage of these tasks and go ham talking about the many amazing new users in the league and those who were called up to the ISFL. But this time, just for a change of pace, I'm gonna make my heel turn and talk about how it is ME, GANYU THE LB, WHO SHALL WIN ROOKIE OF THE YEAR! It's a long shot, sure. My luck with stats and awards is historically abysmal, but you know, I feel like I believe more than anyone, and believing more than anyone is clearly what translates to on field success.
Anyway, as GM of Bondi Beach I am contractually obligated to say that we drafted better than everyone else. But I mean genuinely, you don't draft people unless you not only have faith in them as a user, but also really like them. We managed to draft everyone we had on our list, and I think as a GM there's no better feeling than that. Our locker room has been injected with some amazing life, our war room has had new additions, we've got a new twitter rep, and all in all Bondi feels better than ever with the new faces around. Time will tell if this'll translate to on field success or not, but one thing's for sure, this draft was an absolute wonderful thing and I'm so very glad we've got the people we have from it.
Another day, another season in both the ISFL and DSFL. With that comes another draft! With such large classes, defining Rookie of the Year for both classes will be pretty difficult to pin down. For the DSFL, I believe that the Rookie of the Year will be Ollie O'Donnell, wide receiver for the Portland Pythons. The Pythons badly needed receiver help to bolster their offense and boy is O' Donnell delivering so far. In this first game, he recorded 6 catches for 127 yards! A great statline that will surely continue for the Pythons and bolster their efforts in regaining contender status! For the ISFL, I believe Rumble Ronson will be the Rookie of the Year as he is on a tear defensively. Through four games, he has amassed, 22 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 FR, 2 Sacks, and 1 PD. I believe that through his current production he may be able to break through 85+ tackles alone which is insane for a rookie! Thus, I believe with each team I believe that they respectively had the best draft in their respective leagues to help retool and get back into contention each as they drafted both respective players as steals!
