First of all, S36 is the best draft class ever to exist. We bicker in the rookie chat mainly just Nor vs KCC, but you see what happens when you call one of us out? JK, I'm happy to have joined when I did because I honestly don't know if I would still be this active if it wasn't for my fellow rookies. We have some really high TPE earners in this class. To put it into comparasion, majority of the rookie mentors I asked and other individuals said S25 was probably one of the better classes. So this was as of 6/5 rankings when we were getting near draft time:
s25 class
>250 - 6
>200 - 56
>150 - 71
S36 class
>250 - 22
>200 - 42
>150 - 61
This shows that while S25 was def deeper than us, we had more players at the top that all could have been round 1 material. Granted, I think when the draft started behind close door on 6/10, we had more players claim their equipment and stuff that might have made our numbers better but we will just leave it at that. Regardless, S36 was really top heavy as seen by the 22 capped players that all could have been taken in the 1st rounder. Heck we had players such as Akaki Akayre who were taken in the third round and he was a capped player. Moreso, Arizona Outlaws traded a first next year to move back into 3rd round to grab him. They basically traded a 1st next year for a 3rd year, if that doesn't tell you how deep and amazing this class is I don't know what else will.
I was suprised at the haul that berlin got, and that is without bias. In the first round they took Kevin McThumper aka me, in the second they took Tae Dawson, in the third they took Fred Edison. They ended up the draft also grabbing Nathan Meagher, and LFT. Overall thats 4 users who were capped and another user close to being capped. 3 out of those 4 players were constantly mocked to go in the first, and one could make a case that Tae Dawson had a shot of being taken in the first. This is the draft that Berlin needed to restock their aging team and they couldn't have picked a better time to nail the draft.
Talking about Nathan, it was a surprise to see him falling that low. I mean we had DTs that earnt less TPE than him going higher than him. Who knows what deterred other teams from taking him but his former GM, Rapids was willing to roll the dice on him. I have shared a locker room with Nathan and can attest his fiery attitude takes some warming up to but his presence in the locker room is uplifting and motivating. Grabbing him that late in the draft, is truly a steal for berlin and an icing on the cake for the amazing draft that berlin just had.
In terms of what players I think will make it to the Hall Of Fame, for starters, I think player Jean-Ralphio rna by user FordHammer will be my front runner to make it to the Hall of Fame out of this class. I mean his work in the DSFL with the 250 cap was outstanding and he was making left tackles look like kids with his uncanny combination of speed and strength. I think Jean should have won the Most Valuable Player after the amazing season he had, but regardless I think he will be an easy choice if he keeps this work up!
