8. Pilot RedSun would win the award for winner of the league wide staring contest. RedSun is a stoic man that says little, and when he is on the sidelines, he often simply stands like a statue, with his arms crossed, watching the action on the field without a hint of emotion. He does not appear to speak to anyone, he simply stares. At the annual ISFL Staring Contest Competition, in each round he would strike the same pose. Arms crossed, eyes staring without emotion. After each competitor would finally blink, he wouldn’t even move from his spot or stop staring. He would not give his eyes a break, and perhaps he didn’t need to. Some were questioning if he even knew he was in a staring contest: nobody recalled him signing up or saying he would play, he simply showed up. Due to him not adjusting his position, some believed that RedSun had made a fatal mistake. The competition was taking place outside, and RedSun was facing west. As the day went on, by the time of the championship round, the sun would be facing brightly into his eyes. Either RedSun would be forced to blink for the first time today, or the more unthinkable would happen: he’d have to move. However, in the championship round against newly drafted cornerback Tingis Pingis, Redsun did not flinch, and in fact won easily. The reflection of the sun in Redsun’s eyes was enough to make Pingis easily falter. After he was congratulated and most people went home, some people reported seeing RedSun…taking out his eyes? They were then put into a case made for glass eyes. Could he be blind? Then how could he play offensive line? Of course, these are unsubstantiated rumors, simply whispers. The odds of RedSun playing with glass eyes and using that to essentially cheat in a staring contest is too weird to be true, right? Regardless a new trophy would sit next to the Ultimini trophy in RedSun’s home. One would expect more to join them.

9. As commissioner, I would make a change to the Most Dedicated Member award. I think it could potentially be an interesting change that does even more to highlight the amount of good users in the league if we based it more off of the NFL’s style of the Walter Peyton Man of the Year award. To copy that style, each team in the ISFL would nominate one player on their team to be considered for Most Dedicated Member. These users would be revealed earlier in the season than usual, potentially about halfway through the regular season. This would include a media post issues by the league with a list of the members that incudes write ups from the GM’s (or others, such as a user that was highly positively impacted by the nominee’s actions) that describe why that user should be considered Most Dedicated Member. In the NFL, the Man of the Year award is considered (by the NFL PR team, not the general public) to be the most prestigious award for a player to receive, and the player then receives a patch on their jersey to signify them winning the award. It could be a nice change to display that award as a trophy on a player’s profile. I would not change this to be for any award, just the most dedicated member award (otherwise we’d easily reach oversaturation). Maybe they could get their name in a special color on the forums, as well as a special role in the general ISFL server. Emphasizing this award more would be a good move to promoting the type of dedication that is needed to continue a high level of functioning that the league maintains. Or it could just promote being a good person on the forums and on discord. Oh and I would also make offseason task/Ultimus week worth 12 points. It’s 4 PT’s worth of writing so it should be 12 TPE. I’ve fought this battle for a long time.
