My favorite play this season was none other than the last minute touchdown from Owen Farrell to Jaycee Higgins in week 3. This play allowed the San Jose Sabercats to defeat the Arizona Outlaws it what is one of the biggest upsets in the season. The play came on a third and four with only a minute left. A beautiful pass down the sideline led to the touchdown. Being on third down made this play even more impactful. If this pass was not completed, San Jose would had to settle for a long field goal attempt. Given the well documented struggles of Booter McGavin this would have been potentially catastrophic.
My least favorite play of the was the final play of the game against the Orange County Otters. In this situation, Owen Farrell threw a pass to President Camacho to get the ball to the OCO 3 yard line. The problem? This was the final play of the game. It was just a gut wrenching ending to a game that San Jose really should have won.
