My favorite play of the season was the one where Detective Crashmore scored his first, and somehow only, touchdown of the season. But oh boy was it an incredible play. One of the best you've ever seen, maybe. Everyone is talking about it. They say "oh, Detective, we've never seen a play like that". Well of course they haven't, but you don't run into someone like me every day, you know. So I tell them "That's what I do, I'm Detective Crashmore, I'm the best. Nobody could have scored a touchdown like I did. Nobody. And of course the lame stream media, the fake news will say "oh, it was wide open, anyone could have made that play". That's what they do, they lie. And that's why they can't be trusted. I scored it, they didn't. Because everyone else is, and let me tell you this, because they don't want to hear it, but they are, and it's true, they're losers. All losers. Detective Crashmore should be the Rookie of the Year. Goodnight.
It is not an unknown thing that Spottie O’Dopaliscious has had a lack of end product in his career thus far. Not matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to get PDs or INTs as consistently as he should. So that’s why Spottie favorite plays at this point in the season are his interceptions. That’s what he’s paid to do and so far this season he has had an uptick in that department. He’s tied for the most on the team with Outlaw Mode Sicko and Notso Smart, with 3 each. It’s been great seeing the other guys get INTs too, but I’ve seen it my whole career so they aren’t as special to me. So that’s the reason my favorite plays have been the ones I’ve gotten. And to be honest, my least favorite plays are when @hotdog gets INTs because those should be mine. He hasn’t worked as hard as I have, so he doesn’t deserve them.
The favourite play of the season (because all I know is Beniri T'Chawama and the New Orleans Secondline) is the play in the 23-17 win over Beniri's former team, the Honolulu Hahalua. In the game, Beniri T'Chawama posted 8 pancakes, leading the Secondline, as he flattened out players from his old team. One play in particular, quarterback Elessar Jones of the Secondline was looking for a pass down the line and Beniri T'Chawama completely leveled the opposing defensive line. This enabled the time and space for Jones to find wide receiver Poop-Eater Sr. with a 73 yard pass. This is the longest pass made by Elessar Jones on the season and some can argue it came at a great time to give the team the 10-7 lead at the time, which eventually translated to the 23-17 win. It was the combination of teamwork from the offensive line to the quarterback and the wide receiver that made this amazing play happen.
A dominant performance by Ryan Lawrence for KCC in Week 4 resulted in a strip sack of NOR QB Rocky Franklin III. Coming off the edge, Lawrence breezed pass his assignment, swatting down the arms of the offensive lineman. Coming up on the blindside, Lawrence quickly tackled the QB and brought him to the ground, forcing the ball free in the process. The ball tumbled back, with a mad rush for possession ensuing. However, it was rookie DE Lukas Van Ness recovering the football, resulting in a turnover of possession. This play came 1 after KCC fumbled the ball themselves, ensuring that Norfolk didn't take advantage of their opportunity. The play was in addition to another 3 tackles made by Lawrence during the course of the game, as well as another strip sack. However, this one didn't result in a turnover, with the QB scrambling and recovering the football before a KCC could pounce on it
My favourite play of the season came in the week 6 game for the Yellowknife Wraiths against Berlin. It was a close game with only 4 points in it at the 2 minute mark but Yellowknife had made it down to the goal line with back to back rushes from Akinfenwa making up 12 yards to get them to the 1 yard line for 1st and goal. It had been a rough day at the office for Kumquat Archipelago with 4 rushes for not a single yard. However, he is a player with a tremendous strength, once he gets to the goal line, his spidey senses kick in and he becomes a new man, a man some would call a super hero, the touchdown merchant. Archipelago blasted the ball in from the 1 yard line to pick up his TD and the crowd go wild as Yellowknife all but seal the game with Archipelago's 1 yard for the day.
In what was a crazy win for the Orange County Otters, in Week 2 against the Baltimore Hawks, one player and several of their massive plays stood out more than anyone else and they had an incredible stat line of 15 rushes for 280 yards and 5TDs. Not bad for a RB, but even better for a QB. Kaguya Shinomiya really did put up a performance for the ages. In a tame start the first touchdown came on a 2 yard touchdown run. So far so good, nothing special but then still in the first quarter, Kaguya ran in two more touchdowns, this time for 72 and 55 yards respectively and at that point the game was already over. I don't think we have ever seen anything like it and the fun didn't stop there. Another short TD run was followed in the final quarter by an incredible 75 yard run and this definitely capped of one of the leagues all time great single player performances.
