23. What are your thoughts on the sim engine? What sort of improvements would you make to the sim engine if given the opportunity? (Written Task)
I am not ashamed to say it - I love Draft Day Sports: Pro Football 21, and I will explain.
Let's start with the presentation- those dots are super slick and way better than any kind of rendered 3D model. The way the players disappear off the field adds a real sense of intrigue to the occasion.
I like the way that each position has 2 maybe 3 attributes that significantly contribute to that player's performance, and the rest is mostly RNG. Who doesn't love randomness?
I like the way the sim changes your player's render so that he looks completely different every time you load a game - it keeps me from getting too emotionally attached to my sim dot, which can only be a good thing. I am needy.
I absolutely love the way that the sim calls plays. No inherent knowledge of football strategy needed, let's try a deep pass while we are 1 behind on 4th and 5, 15 yards out with 3 seconds remaining. It's like the coaches are drunk toddlers and that's just great.

33. When looking at the teams we have in the ISFL and DSFL, is there any team you believe is in need of a major rebrand or update to their current branding? Why or why not? (Written Task)
My number two choice (I take a lot of heat for my #1 so I won't) for rebranding is the Bondi Beach Buccaneers.
First off, it doesn't work. Sure, Australia had a history of piracy back when that word evoked images of ships and men with swords, but a Buccaneer is quite literally a pirate of the Caribbean. Even if you take the word to just mean "pirate", it is a miserable fit with the sexy Sydney attraction of Bondi Beach. Were there pirates there back in the day? Yeah, probably, but Bondi Beach invokes images of a model-looking girl in a bikini who can somehow drink more VBs than I can.
Then there's the logo. Green, orange and purple - let's just use all the bright colours - and far too ornate for my tastes.
Australia has a wonderful, rich ecosystem and great potential for better mascots. Woolongong Wombats? Darwin Drop Bears? Perth Platypi? Canberra Quokkas? Throw a dart at a map of the country, and another one in the outback, and you will probably hit a better location/mascot pair.
