Alita Battle Angel is still pretty new to the whole football thing. She is only in her 2nd season after a fantastic rookie season where she became a pro bowler and first team all pro at the free safety position. But her path to being a premier football player started off very slow. In the developmental simulation football division with the Birddogs, she was in a running back by committee situation. As a running back, she was struggling and wondering if she really could become a good football player one day. After much deliberation and thought, she decided to switch positions to safety. It ended up being a very good decision as she has already made a big impact in the upper leagues of football with her team, the Honolulu Hahalua.
If she was still a running back, there’s a chance she would still be in the developmental league, toiling away and seemingly going nowhere. Instead, she’s been a big contributor to a team who’s been to the playoffs for the 2nd straight year.
