The Copperheads are a team based in Texas, so a few times every season the team gets together for a few rounds down at the shooting range. The American born players are usually the ones who put it together. Being pretty accurate himself, Jay Cue III was the one who taught Crasher Wake how to shoot. After the first couple times each season to de-rust and teach those who haven't shot before how to do everything, the third outing has traditionally been a competition. It has two parts: the individual standings where every player's shots count for their own score, and the team standings. The team themes change every season, ranging from a straight offense vs. defense to pairing off into teams of two or three based on something arbitrary like uniform number. The player who consistently surprises the team with their accuracy is the kicker Charlie Brown. It's a curse more than anything because it always gets brought up whenever he misses a kick in practice.
Everyone knows that it takes more than just TPE and good strats to win games consistently in the ISFL. Sure, teams will get hot and rattle off a lucky run at the title, but how do you sustain such success? The answer can be provided in just two words: Arizona Outlaws. But since the PT requires 150 words, I guess I’ll have to get into the details. For starters, you need to draft the right type of user that fits into your locker room. There’s nothing worse than drafting someone and having them leave in FA or going IA. Keeping a happy locker room and making sure the people in said locker room get along is key. The Arizona locker room is always good vibes. We’re all here to have fun and win or lose, we do that. After losses, we move on to the next one. No whining, no complaining. We brush it off and get back at it. The environment is unlike any other sim leagues I’ve been in.
The locker room has not been great the last few years. We have had a lot of users move on recently and the winning ways of this franchise are long forgotten. Many blame the quarterback, Blaine Falco, for not being enough of a vocal leader but it is hard when much of the team is void of a lot of talent. Nobody dislikes or hates anyone but there just seems to be a lack of leadership that should come from someone, most likely the quarterback position. Everyone gets along but nobody knows how to win a game. It is clearly evident that that is something this squad is missing. In a recent players only meeting it was leaked that they talked about their biggest fears and what the game of football meant to them. Maybe this will wake them up out of their slumber but it is probably good they talked about their weakness so they can use that to fuel this team to some victories.
I think the best part about the Kansas City locker room is just the sheer amount of stuff that people can do in it. If you need a fun place to talk to, there’s always someone available to chat, whether it be one of the GMs or a teammate. Each player also gets a one-on-one communication page, which I personally love, as it can allow the GM to work with whatever they need to out of a certain position - hell, the work Tim and Rob did on DPJ helped set up ground work to make sure he excels at his craft. Daily questions to help spur up conversations are also a banger, and while we do get into tizzies over some opinions, it’s still an overall fantastic thing to help the Yotes team get better with one another. Lastly, the game day experience is one to always have fun with - every little gainage is an opportunity for a spam in the chat. All in all, the KC locker room is fantastic, and although I have Bondi on my mind, I’ve come to appreciate the team. OWIDHUSE.

With the Honolulu Hahalua entering a rebuilding period as the team gears up to contend several seasons down the line, one might think that the locker room would be lackluster. After all, IceBear traded away pretty much every player prior to the season. However, the team actually has a vibrant locker room with a high degree of comaraderie and fun, in no small part due to the great new voices brought in in the most recent draft class. The team also does a wide range of team bonding activities to bring everyone closer together. These activities can consist of everything from making fun of IceBear to taking hundreds of points of rep away from IceBear to critiquing IceBear's roster management decisions. Actually though, the discussion of real sports, dot sports, and even personal irl lives helps bring the team together and I'm sure the strength of the locker room will only continue to grow as we add more awesome users in the coming years.

One thing is loved by the entire New York Silverbacks roster, bananas. We always bring bananas to practice. They are actually a great source of energy, and all players benefit from them. We eat them before games and practice, and even at team dinners! I always come to practice with a few bananas actually, because sometimes my teammates will forget them. Always have to be prepared. Bananas are basically a ritual in New York. If you get drafted here, you have to love bananas. If you get traded here, you have to love bananas. If you have a fear of bananas, you are gonna have to get over it! We pride ourselves on performing to the highest level every single game in New York, and our pre game bananas always bring the entire team together and get everyone ready for a game. Unfortunately, we forgot to eat bananas before our Ultimus loss a few seasons back…
South is currently in his second year at Norfolk Seawolves after being drafted by Orange County Otters. He has made a transition from linebacker to cornerback to better suit the needs for the Otters later down the road. It has been an interesting experience to see some great players go on and play in the ISFL while new players arrive in the locker room. The new players bring their own positive energy to the locker room which makes everyone comfortable to talk to each other. Newly brought on Sunfish and Mannheim replaced the old linebacker crew of last season. They have held their own and are on track to outpace South and Hardman. There are weekly interventions the Norfolk has provided me for my gambling habits which leads to me always losing money. South brings plenty of high-quality Aquafina to the locker room due to his sponsorship. We continue to work hard to get Norfolk into playoff contention and make our fans proud.

There is no doubt that having a solid locker room is an important part of maintaining an active group of people. There are many different avenues that people can go and it really just depends on what type of locker room you have and what group of people that you are looking to get together. In the past I have heard of other people requesting trades from teams because their team is too youthful and they just cannot relate to the group. On the other side of things, I have encountered people seeking out younger locker rooms that will have conversations almost constantly throughout the day. Some locker rooms thrive doing things like game night or having watch parties which are really good things for people to look forward to. In addition to talking about things randomly when a topic is brought up. We find ourselves consistently chatting in the locker room on game day about game day, whenever we can. Sharing in the hardships of this sim is something that brings people together.
