But Boss had many more people to throw to than Berc did. Wright had a great year.

The problem is that the argument works AGAINST Wright more than for him. After all, Tanner had 5 TDs out of only 16. Wright had 4 TDs, ONE FEWER, despite the fact that the Otters O scored almost 3 times as many TDs. Also, given how much more their offense was on the field, wouldn't you expect a LOT more pancakes from a blocking TE?

The Otters had the two best receivers in the NSFL this year. The Legion had one receiver who was good (and still won't make the Pro Bowl). Wright was better than Tanner BY FAR in every stat but TDs. And at the end of the day Wright impacted every game.

"Wright was better than Tanner BY FAR in every stat but TDs."
Translation, despite playing 155% of Tanner's games on an offense that had 219% of the Legion's TDs, Wright still had fewer TDs than Tanner.
You can't say that Tanner isn't allowed to have his stats projected due to a short season and then use lack of volume as your argument against him. During the time Tanner played, he was FAR more important to the offense than Wright was to his.
Listen, I know you are invested in this due to your bet, but you aren't "contributing," just trying to naysay.

The reason I made the bet was because I believe so strongly. TDs are a much more random stat. Yards are way more meaningful.
But letting LeClair move the team downfield then poach 9 yard TDs is not probowl worthy. Being a big body in the red zone is only valuable if you can also help your team move the ball down the field. TDs without accommodating yards is just stat padding.

100% agree. His entire case relies on TDs, of which he has one more than Wright.

I agree completely, but that isn't what was happening. During the 9 games he played, Tanner led TEs in % of team offense (except DiMirio, but he also played WR). His yards LOOK low because of only 9 games and a shitty offense, but he was moving the ball.
