This series will likely be an annual occurrence, which follows the careers of the Offensive Lineman in the NSFL known as the Bash Brotherstm.
The Beginning
In the beginning, there were the brave pioneers of Offensive Lineman in the NSFL, like Angus Winchester, and Avon Blocksdale. These men took on the challenge of being Offensive Lineman in a new startup league, however the introduction of robots a few seasons into the league's history, human lineman became extinct. That was until Blake Mcargue and Ma Goomba decided to steer clear of the status quo and follow the selfless career path of a lineman in the NSFL. Both were drafted by Tijuana, who believed that there was a foreseeable future where human offensive lineman existed once again. Tijuana was confident that they would be able to build the DSFL's best offensive line the league has ever seen.
Fast Forward another season to the time where the quantity of college athletes declaring for the DSFL draft was higher than ever before. There were once again human offensive lineman who were eager to show that they were better than their robot counterparts. Among these college athletes were Brave Ulysses, a massive lad from the UK, and Edmond Beaver-Dantes who comes from the great NCAA football organization of the Fighting Irish. Before the first preseason game, these lineman dubbed themselves the "Bash Brothers", who were determined to put the Great Wall of Tijuana on the global radar.
You might be asking yourself, "what is a Bash Brother?". Great question friend; a Bash Brother is a pair of brothers who recorded 89 pancake blocks while allowing only 3 sacks to the league veteran Corvo Horvo. The Bash Brothers paved the way for the potential league MVP Forrest Gump, and gave new life to the Tijuana run game. The Great Wall of Tijuana will always need Bash Brothers to lead the way, leaders on the line to keep the Wall relevant in the ever changing DSFL league.
This season, the Bash Brothers manned both Offensive Tackle positions, with Ulysses on the left side of the line, and Beaver-Dantes on the right side. As the season progressed, and the passing game started to show weaknesses, the Tijuana offense decided to start pounding the ball with the speed back Forrest Gump, using the strength at the tackle positions to their advantage.
In the playoffs, Tijuana recorded 257 rushing yards , including a run from Forrest Gump that went for 96 yards. Tijuana was searching for it's identity throughout the season, and they found it towards the end of the season, where Gump made his claim for MVP behind the Bash Brothers.
The Future
No one knows what the future holds for the Bash Brothers, but there is speculation that both lineman are going to be playing another few seasons in the DSFL until their skills can match those of the robots running the show in the NSFL. There is only room for improvement here on out, and having both tackle positions locked down for seasons to come is going to greatly increase the success of Tijuana's run game.
After speaking with newly hired Tana Keita, who along with GM Brian Mills was also once a Tijuana linebacker, I have learned that there are eyes on the prospect by the name of Ben Tu'inukuafe from New Zealand. This monster of a man has already proved that he has a spot on the Great Wall of Tijuana, presumably at the Left Guard position. There are big expectations for the Wall in season 15, as their debut year had them come 1 game away from being DSFL champions. With the addition of this highly graded Offensive Guard, Tijuana should also be the most sought after landing spot for any new prospect coming into the league.
