MVP Leaders
1. Franklin Armstrong - QB -
Franklin Armstrong is an animal. He's already tied for the single season pass TD record and there are still 2 games to go. Not only are his numbers phenomenal, his team is winning, the Pythons are first in their conference and second in total record. The difference between Armstrong and my other top candidates is that it is significantly less likely that the pythons would be this good without Armstrong than it is that the Marshals would be as good as they are without Jones or Marshall.
2. Morgan Marshall - RB -
The Marshals are far and away the best team in the league and their Marshall may just be their best player. He leads the DSFL in rush yards and has 16 total touchdowns which is also tied for first. My main knock against Marshall is just how good the rest of his team is and how he may not be as valuable on the Marshals as he would be somewhere else. He is very close to #1 in my opinion but not quite where Armstrong is.
3. Vander Jones - CB -
Another guy tied for a record, this time Jones is tied for the interception record. He also first in pass defenses. A CB winning MVP would be crazy but with as good as Jones is playing he at least has some form of an argument for it. He has the same problem as Marshall however where he has great teammates, with the corner opposite him being second in interceptions.
OPOY Rankings
1. Franklin Armstrong - QB -
As good as Marshall has been, he's not really getting close to records and Franklin Armstrong is going to break them within the next 2 weeks. I think Armstrong will get the triple crown of QBoTY, MVP, and OPOY as long as he doesn't screw up.
2. Bona'Berri Jones- WR -
Franklin Armstrong's running mate. He is so far ahead of every other reciever it's ridiculous. 12 TDs as a WR is crazy. The Reciever of the Year isn't even his to lose, he should already have it. Like Armstrong, he is well within striking distance of breaking a TD record. Jones would be a strong MVP candidate but receivers aren't super valuable.
3. Morgan Marshall - RB -
He's not setting any records but he's been really solid this season and has lived up to his #4 draft selection. Based purely on numbers, Marshall isn't that close to Armstrong or Jones though.
DPOY Rankings
1. Vander Jones - CB -
Hey guess what, the guy who's gonna set records is a top MVP candidate who would've guessed. The next best DPOY candidate is another DB who is worse statistically in every major DB category.
2. Walt Green - FS -
Just a good player. 3rd in PDs and second in INTs. Because he's not first though, he's pretty far behind Vander Jones but his performance has been great for a S15 rookie. I don't see him catching Jones unless something drastic happens but he's done well for himself.
3. Allen Josh - LB -
The most versatile defender in the entire DSFL. Josh can do it all with 11 pass defenses, 98 tackles and 7 sacks. I wish he could be higher because he's been incredible but Green and Jones are almost otherworldly in their performance so far. It also sucks because I belive he's gone inactive so this DSFL success may be the peak of what he accomplishes but for now he's doing fine.
Most Dedicated
So I don't know the criteria for this one so I'm just going to pick a player who I think is dedicated and if he wins I think my point will be proven.
1. Ryan Leaf Jr. - DT -
Hear me out here. Leaf is very dedicated to 2 things. Those are artificial drama and shitposting. Nobody is more committed than Leaf when it comes to these 2 areas. Every day on discord it seems like there is new Ryan Leaf Jr. Drama and memes. He may not be the most dedicated in terms of getting and applying TPE(especially applying) but he sure loves his attention.
