In case you missed my previous article about quarterbacks, I wanted to apply some logic to hall of fame decisions, to see if I could determine what it takes, in terms of stats and achievements, to be inducted. It ended up involving a complicated formula looking at basically every part of a resume, and through some luck I was pretty pleased with the results. Naturally I wanted to start to consider other positions as well. So here we are at my next stop, wide receivers (I wanted to do WR more than RB because there are more stats to look at for RB - therefore it will be more work).
Anyway, same basic idea here, I won't actually be sharing my formula because its ugly and keeping it secret adds a aura of mysteriousness, or something.

More prestigious awards than WRotY are hard to come by. Even Westfield and Willie never sniffed an OPotY, but here's Crush with a dang MVP, in his record setting 1500 yard, 17 touchdown S9. Interestingly, only one other pure wide receiver has won MVP (Howard Miller in S11) but he didn't have the longevity for a hall of fame career.
