Yesterday, according to an anonymous source affiliated with the Associated Press, Chicago cornerback Art Deco announced he was looking to play for a new team. Today, the rumors are swirling that he may have narrowed down the pool.
Deco, who has played his entire career in the Windy City, had previously not ruled out a return to Chicago. According to the same source that broke the initial story, now it appears Chicago is no longer in the running. Chicago beat reporter Pam Pringle tweeted this early in the morning:
"My sources tell me that there are three teams currently in the running for potential landing spots for Deco: NOLA, PHI, and NYS. A number of other teams have reached out, but it appears that the pool of applicants has been whittled down."
Heading into the postseason, we'll be watching to see where the young corner will suit up next.
