It has come to the attention of Head Office that user @furiousPanda, while speaking with another user, asked about their player's contract status and position. After confirmation, furiousPanda indicated that the team he expects to play for in the ISFL has a need at that player's position. These actions combined, while indirect, constitute tampering. In addition, furiousPanda reached out to a user under contract with another team about their interest in a GM position, which constitutes tampering. Tampering is defined as:
1. A player or GM approaching a player under contract with another team or whose rights are owned by another team, with the purpose of persuading them to join your team, request a trade, hold out on contract negotiations, or retire.
a. This includes any private discussion involving leaving the team with whom the player is under contract with the purpose of joining the offender's team.
In the past, HO has punished users for tampering, such as telling a user to change teams or Implying a user may be better off on another team. As such, furiousPanda will be punished with:
-A fine of $5m
-A ban on holding a GM position for seasons 41 and 42
-HO approval needed if taking a GM position in season 43.
furiousPanda may appeal this decision by contacting the Head of Appeals, Attopax, on Discord (Attopax#4079).
