READY FOR GRADING
This has been a type of press release I have done in a couple of leagues now, and thought I would bring it here now.
The idea is that I am just brutally honest in how I answer any of these questions.
Feel free to ask anything as long as it does not get me punished.
The floor is open.
I was invited to a Discord with a lot of current ISFL players back in late September or early October and they all seemed like decent enough people, on top of that I have some long-time friends that have been here forever and a day so I figured why not give it a try.
On top of that I would not at all mind having a great career here to kind of put the "Legion retire many" stuff behind me. I promise I am not as bad of a guy as a lot of people probably think I am.
I have had the biggest celebrity crush on Selena Gomez ever since Wizards of Waverly Place was on television back in like 2008, I would have been 12 at the time and I have just always had a thing for her.
I also have just always had beautiful celebrities as my sim league profile pictures for as long as I can remember. Back in the SHL I've had a Blake Lively profile picture for going on 6 years now.
It has been a different experience for me, my only real attempt at a player was my original player Connor Tanner back in season 3, and he was a tight end. Originally my plan was for Dru Freduci to be an homage of sorts to Tanner, a last player to redeem my first player, but Bondi Beach approached me post-draft and asked about my willingness to transition to a position like runningback and anyone who knows me from my seasons in the SHL know that I have always been a huge team first guy and I hope to bring a bit of that here, but we will have to see.
I have enjoyed it in the sense that I probably see the ball a lot more often than I would otherwise if I were still a tight end, so watching the sims have been more enjoyable because I get a lot more action than I would have otherwise.
I honestly am not sure how much of a hot take it is at this point in Lebrons career, but I have had him as my number one player all-time for multiple years now, so I am truly hoping that my transition to runningback does not harm his legacy in the long term, because as of right now he is my greatest of all time.
All it has done is grow since the last time I was truly active in and amongst the people, so it is hard to say from a day to day level how it compares now to then. It's been 40 seasons, so nearly 4 years have passed by since I last gave the league a chance. I would say overall it has improved, but the interaction between players has gone down a bit just due to the sheer size of the league.
I have had players since the move to a developmental league prior to the big leagues, but this is my first player that I have made an honest effort on since the transition to minor league teams so that has been the biggest change for sure.
I think developmental leagues are crucial for growth as no one wants to sit on the bench as a fifth wide receiver on a team, but one thing that really shocked me during the DSFL draft process was how many teams asked me to position swap as a non-drafted prospect. I was a general manager for a long long time in the SHL, both minors and majors and I never felt like it was appropriate to ask people about transitioning as a minors manager purely due to the fact that they would not be with me for longer than four or five months and who am I to ask someone to change the vision of their player if they won't be with me all that long in the greater scheme of things.
I think it would be totally acceptable for a majors manager to ask the question, as they have a long vested interest in the development of that player in a specific role, but for the four or so seasons I am in the minors I just found it odd how crucial a position change seemed to be for some of the managers.
