Hanyadi had a ton of work to do during this offseason. Two seasons in the DSFL meant he had to work twice as hard to be ready for the rigors of the big leagues. Readjusting to the cold after two years down in San Antonio was one of the big ones. Unlike Bjorn, who decided to go to Everest for some reason, Hanyadi decided to go somewhere close. He travelled up to Fairbanks, Alaska, asking Drake to come with him so the two of them could build up some synergy. The training was hard, as it had to be. Hanyadi wasn't in the DSFL anymore, he couldn't just coast on his talent anymore like he did last season. Hard training in the cold allowed him to adjust to the conditions he would be in while playing in Yellowknife.
It sucked for the first few days, but having his teammate beside him allowed him to push harder during this session and the two of them managed to build up a good amount of synergy. After this freezing cold week of training, Hanyadi was far more confident going into Yellowknife. His body had re-adjusted to the cold of the north, and was ready to seize the year and make it the best of his career so far.
