This question confuses me. I have been part of this league for like a month and know basically nothing about it.You're in luck, because joining a war room is one of the best ways to learn a lot about the league very quickly! They're not asking you to do work for their team/commit to joining their war room before you've been drafted, that would be kinda silly. They're asking if you think it's something you'd be interested in down the line, which seems like a reasonable question to me. Plus, if someone has no idea what a war room is/what purpose it actually serves, I think scouting conversations are as good a time as any for them to learn more.
I can respect this.
I figured a war room was where the team management chatted, which makes sense why it’s called a war room. So I thought it meant everyone in there had a role whether it be scouting, locker room helper, etc. When I heard “would you want to join our war room” from GMs I guessed they wanted to use me to fill a role.
...Not that I would know about that. (Zayn please don't kick me out)
Anyways, to briefly address #2, position switching is absolutely huge in the ISFL and is definitely important for GMs to know so I understand why it's asked all the time. Draftees who can be a Swiss Army knife are really coveted, and without asking, you never know if the person you are scouting is willing to switch to whatever or if they are set on being a kicker for whatever reason even when they have more TPE than anyone else on the team... again, not that I would know about that.
