The word that can describe the Yellowknife Wraiths over the past 5 seasons is average. 3 seasons with an 8-8 record one disastrous 4-12 season and most recently a 9-7 season. They have made the playoffs only once in those 5 seasons shockingly making a cinderella run to the Ultimus where they would finally fall in a low scoring thriller. All of this to say that Yellowknife are unknown to many throughout the league especially the rookies (or so I'm told). The truth is Yellowknife boasts one of the most talented rosters in the league. They have the sixth best average TPE, fifth best total effective TPE, fifth best average effective TPE, eighth best offensive TPE, and seventh best defensive TPE. This means they are at or above average in every important category in the ISFL. Sure it may seem like this will be just another average season for the Yellowknife Wraiths but it isn't. It is so much more than that.
Their quarterback is reaching his peak and is set to have a true breakout season. The secondary lead by linebackers Thor Dangerson and Cheecago Boucher and complimented by the always dangerous safety Luke Hunter is a force to be reckoned with in this upcoming season. Regressing stars like Wide Receiver Nick Williams and defensive lineman Dan Dandrews are players that opposing sides can't take lightly. Add on new rising stars that are beginning to make a name for themselves like wide receiver Silence Suzuka and running backs Lane Wilson and Billy van Goff and this offense is looking scarier and scarier by the second. Legends that are on their last legs are still making an impact in the locker room and are still key veterans that can be used sparingly most notably Detective Crashmore helping along the new tight end Bob Kroonkowski.
This is a team that is more often than not counted out before they are even ready to get started. The entire team puts in a ton of effort to be the best they can and yet they never get the recognition they deserve. There's always a Baltimore in the way. There's always a Cape Town crashing through the flood gates. This leaves Yellowknife to battle it out for one of the two remaining playoff spots. No team is going to just let that happen though as Yellowknife has become blissfully aware. This season, season 49, is finally the season all of this changes. The tides are turning and Yellowknife can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The games won't be easy and facing Baltimore week 1 will be a good test to see where they truly stand but things are looking up....Up North in the freezing cold of Yellowknife. This random assortment of players is set to make their mark on the league and become household names.
I would of course be remiss not to bring up the infamous Zenzeroni Xystarch II. In a shocking turn of events, after his worst season of kicking to date, he was selected to be the kicker for the NSFC. Whether this is some kind of sick joke or a mistake in the reading of the votes remains unknown but Zenzeroni will be using this as fuel to show why he was selected to the pro bowl. He's maxed himself out and become the best he possibly could. There is no way he can go further up than he already is. The team on the other hand, has only one direction they can go. They have their sights set on the number 1 prize in the ISFL they want that regular season championship and to go on and win that sweet sweet Ultimus that seems to have eluded Yellowknife for far too long.

Howdy! I am responsible for quite possibly the greatest kicker to ever grace the ISFL and am the most accomplished media writer the ISFL has ever seen (no need to ask anyone else regarding either of those claims)
